GuardViewer

 

Instructions for using a Windows PC or a mobile device (Android/iOS), here is the step-by-step guide to downloading GuardViewer (mobile) and Guard Station (windows)

 

Phase 1: Download GuardViewer

Option A: For Windows PC

  1. Navigate to guardviewer.org and download

  2. Locate the Download section or the link for GuardViewer Client for Windows.

  3. Click the download link for GuardStation_Win64-B1130.3.12.1.L02(IN).exe

Option B: For Mobile Devices Android / iOS) Note: installing directly from official app stores is recommended for security and automatic updates.

  1. From guardviewer.org: Navigate to the Mobile Download section and click the link corresponding to your OS (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS).

Phase 2: Installation & Initial Setup

On Windows PC:

  1. Double-click the GuardStation_Win64-B1130.3.12.1.L02(IN).exe file.

  2. If prompted by Windows User Account Control (UAC), click Yes to allow changes.

  3. Follow the installation wizard:

  • Select your preferred language.

  • Accept the License Agreement.

  • Choose the installation path (or leave the default) and click Next.

  • Click Install and wait for completion, then click Finish.

  1. Launch GuardViewer.

  2. Create a local admin password or log in with your GuardViewer / EZView cloud account.

On Mobile Device:

  1. Open the GuardViewer app after installation completes.

  2. Grant the necessary app permissions (Camera access is required for scanning QR codes, and Notification permissions for alerts).

  3. Tap Sign Up to create an account, or log in if you already have one.

Phase 3: Locate & Scan the P2P QR Code

Step 1: Find the P2P QR Code on Your NVR/DVR System

  1. Access your NVR or DVR recorder connected to a local monitor/TV.

  2. Log into the system using your admin credentials.

  3. Right-click to open the Main Menu and navigate to:
    $$\text{Menu} \longrightarrow \text{Network} \longrightarrow \text{P2P} \quad (\text{or } \text{EZCloud} / \text{Cloud})$$

  4. Ensure the P2P State or Cloud Status shows Online.

  5. You will see a QR code labeled Device QR Code or Register Code alongside the Device Serial Number (SN).

Step 2: Scan the QR Code

On Mobile App:

  1. Open the GuardViewer app on your phone.

  2. Tap the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-left corner.

  3. Select Devices.

  4. Tap the + Add button at the top right and select Scan.

  5. Frame the NVR/DVR’s P2P QR code within your camera screen.

  6. Once recognized, assign a Device Name (e.g., “Home Cameras”) and tap Save.

  7. Tap Start Live View to view your cameras.

On Windows PC Client:

  1. In GuardViewer, go to Control Panel $\rightarrow$ Device Management.

  2. Click Encoding Device on the left tab, then click + Add.

  3. Under Add Mode, select Cloud Register Code or P2P.

  4. Type in the Register Code / Serial Number (shown beneath the QR code on your NVR screen).

  5. Enter the Device Name, Username (admin), and your recorder’s Password.

  6. Click Add. The status will change to Online when connected.
